“ I haven't ordered from Benkerts in years because I had ordered cakes in the past four to be exact and they will always made wrong. My son's birthday was November 25th but due to COVID I had missed his birthday and I know his favorite is Benkerts ice cream cake. I had ordered a cake for my son last week I told the girl red happy birthday and balloons in yellow and bright colors she said okay, I went to pick it up today and happy birthday was in red and the balloons were in red and black I was very very annoyed. The girl at the counter said we could redo it we could fix it I said nope don't worry about it but she kept coming up with ideas for the cake so I would be happy. I was thinking in my head This is it I'm just not coming back here anymore because I was so mad. The girl at the counter insisted on adding color to the cake so with her ideas I thought okay it sounds really good she took the cake she brought it back and it was perfect I was amazed that this girl did what she did for a customer. Her name is Wendy and she went above and beyond. So all that anger I had inside disappeared. That was the first time anybody in Benkerts bakery actually went above and beyond. I just want to say thank you to Wendy and let Benkerts know that they are lucky to have an employee like Wendy because of her I will be coming back. ”

I tell people calories don't count because they are delicious and they don't have long lines like other places because they are efficient while their kindness shines through! ”

“ OMG...Ordered a "naked/rustic" tiered cake for my wedding sequel celebration... the cake was beautiful AND delicious! Chris did a great job. I asked for pineapple for the smaller top layer, raspberry in the middle, and chocolate at he base/bigger layer. Guests and family loved it! some took slices home and said the cake got even better days after. Communication directly with the bakery could be better, but the caterer for the venue communicated with Benkert's directly and all worked out perfectly. ”

“ Oh man we came up from Virginia and had to stop in a hometown favorite. I for got how great this place is. Everything looked so good. We just wanted to buy one of everything. I remember that they are always busy. When we came in there was a consistent flow of people in and out. There was also an employee packing a van full of deliveries. We got a bag a giant cookies, a cheese cake , and a crumb cake. Everything was as good as I remember. ”
